Gratifying Gardening

March 30, 2019

My students care about their environment as well as their health. They all enjoy maintaining the school-based organic garden. The produce they grow, they take home and share with their families. Many times this is a great way to have parents more involved with the school.
We have just put the school-based garden to sleep for the winter.
Now we are planning for next year when we open the garden on Earth Day. We need wheel barrows to move around soil and mulch to prepare and maintain the growing beds and pathways. The garden shovels and rakes will be used throughout the growing season to care for the vegetables and fruit plants. We grow a variety of crops and are eager to try new and healthy additions.
