Green Apple Day en Jardin de Niños Patita Larga, Xochimilco, Mexico

Our goal was to increase environmental and sustainability literacy in pre-schoolers by carrying out workshops with kids and teachers. These were designed to put in practice critical thinking in a sensorial and playful way, while helping the school in developing a sustainability literacy strategy that can be integrated in the school syllabus.

One of our goals was to invite teachers to participate in our workshops to learn more about environmental education practices and activities focused on developing critical thinking using ludic methodologies in order to achieve the exploration of sustainability subjects in a sensory and participative way with preschool children, giving them the opportunity to learn about this subjects in a different way for them to be able to adress the complex environmental situation in the near future.
Based on those objectives and methodologies, we offered 4 workshops about:
-Energy
-Water
-Residues
-Sustainable living

Our main objective is to return to this school to give continuity to the school's development of a sustainability literacy strategy.
