The Kenya Green Building Society will partner with like-minded stakeholders and corporate organizations in mobilizing resources and volunteerism. We will engage students, teachers, parents, elected officials, universities, organizations and companies to take action through education and outreach, community events, advocacy campaigns and more for better school buildings, improved facilities, cost saving practices and improved knowledge on how to maintain the environment.

The Green Apple Day of Service this year will occur during the World Green Building Week and will take place on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Kenyatta University from 10am to 4pm. We shall involve primary schools, universities and special needs schools. We are expecting a total of 500 attendees during the day. PROPOSED ACTIVITIES
 Guest speakers to sensitize the audience on why it is important to protect the environment and what their role is in protecting the environment.
 Education on sustainability will be undertaken in the schools during the main event at Kenyatta University.
 Conduct a debate at the University on the impact of Green Building on the environment and economy.
 Provide mobile hand washing equipment and training on hand washing
 Offer advice and support on how to reduce power usage.
 Clear dumpsite and advice on waste management.
 Donate Sporting equipment e.g. balls, soccer boots
 Plant trees for shade
 Entertainment and games
