Parker Woods Montessori is a LEED Gold Certified school with an established outdoor learning garden. USGBC volunteers will work with staff, students, parents and business partners for a half day+ service event that will demonstrate how to care for our environment. We will further develop a wooded area, adjacent to the existing garden, into a small walkable 'micro-forest' with a path and native plantings. We will plant daffodils along a walkway to brighten our spring, cut back honeysuckle to clear some space, and install signage to educate students about the varieties of plants in the garden.
