Green Tiny Home

We will build a green tiny home as a capstone project for our Solutions STEM Academy. The tiny home will be built on site from scratch using LEED design principles. The home will be solar powered. Students in the three STEM pathways will design and build the tiny home over a three year period. The project kickoff will be on January 12, 2018, in which students will draw the footprint and layout of the home on a hard surface, stand inside the home, and take our first "before" picture of the home. Students in 21st Century Agriculture, Environmental Technology, Energy & Power, Building Trades, Architecture & Engineering, HVAC, Auto Body, and Electronics & Robotics programs will all play a role in the project along with community partners and subject matter experts.
