Healthy Hydration

December 21, 2017

We live in a desert where water is a commodity not to be wasted. We want to raise money and awareness to put water bottle filling stations into our schools. Currently, students use disposable water bottles or fill their massive re-useable water bottles in drinking fountains. Both of these waste precious resources. All of the water is not captured in the water bottle and the disposable water bottles get tossed in the trash. Having enough water to drink and staying hydrated is constantly on the minds of all staff and students. We are working to raise money to purchase and install water bottle filling stations.

More impact of project

We were able to purchase 2 water bottle filling stations. This not only helps our staff and students stay hydrated properly but it saves on water because everyone can fill their water containers upright rather than trying to fit them under the spray of the drinking fountain. However, this project brought our school and community together for a common cause. As we build good relationships, schools and communities will flourish.
