Students are engaged in a PBL unit - Schoolyard Habitat. The goal is for students have an opportunity to positively impact their local school
environment by meeting a challenge to improve habitat for wildlife on the school campus. As with any PBL, students will be determining the possible issues and solutions, as well as developing a project plan. Some possible projects might include enhancing or creating insect habitat, providing nesting sites for birds, planting native plants or even removing weeds and invasive plants from the school grounds.
