Kick-Off Training Day

September 15, 2018

Are you unsure how to get started with your green program? Need help getting buy-in, support and resources? After this event you will be able to define the value of green to your school, identify 10 actions and assemble a team to support your greening efforts. Attendance can either be in person or virtually.

This 3-hour introductory activity will get your school set out on the path toward sustainability leadership. Participants work together with peers and volunteer sustainability experts to identify opportunities and challenges to advance green initiatives in their schools or community. An interactive exercise helps you determine which decision makers and supporters are needed to build a ‘green team’ - and how to gain their support. You will leave this workshop with practical next steps to get started.

This event is specifically designed to prepare schools to build a comprehensive plan to green the places and spaces they occupy. You may bring anyone who will be working with your school on a sustainability project this year, teachers, staff, and students.
