Coffee Chat

Level of Effort

Easy

Bring some fellow parents together for a conversation on what sustainability activities are going on at the schools in your community.

How much do parents in your community know about the school policies? Learning more about what's happening at your local schools will help you figure out how to improve them. Green Apple Day of Service is a great opportunity to bring people together to discuss why sustainable schools are important.

First Step

Do some research on what school policies exist in your community, and think about what other policies or practices can be put in place that would make your local schools better places for children to learn.

How To

  • Invite a small gathering of other parents to your house or the local coffee shop to discuss simple ways you can help schools become healthier, safer more efficient places for your kids to learn and play.
  • Download our video beforehand and screen it at the event (it’s a crowd pleaser!)
