Perkins Eastman is eager to instill knowledge related to the development and deforestation of the rainforest, its connection to our urban ecosystems, and structure to the students of Lewis School of Excellence. PE will contribute working knowledge of the use and inspiration gained from the rainforest, its biodiversity, over arcing ecosystem, and their structure through a 15 minute presentation.

The presentation will be followed by a 45 minute to hour long activity/ project in which groups of students will come together to think about the rainforest in a new way, design their ideal city block based on the rainforest, and build a physical model with donated material based on their drawings / design.
