These 5 pieces include, a living wall, school garden, rooftop beehive, school-wide composting, and education surrounding LEED in the school.

More impact of project

To increase environmental and sustainability education amongst students through the 5 avenues implemented to help reduce the school’s carbon footprint. The indoor plant wall helps reduce air pollutants, creating a better atmosphere for students. The student garden and beehive will further help students learn about sustainability and the importance of locally grown food as well as the importance of bees. The composting plan at the school with help from Kamran Zendehdel at UDC aims to have available bins to begin effectively sorting waste by October 2018.
