The event started with an interactive presentation which ensured the students have an understanding on the types of Pollution and how to THINK GREEN & ACT GREEN. The students then were distributed in to smaller groups to work on two hands on activities focusing on : Reuse and Activity-passively cooled homes

Activity 1: (REUSE) Decorating old tires, volunteers expressed the importance of reusing & showed to the students how we will reform an old tire into a nice garden space. Students pained and decorated used tires to be then used in the planting activity.

Activity 2: Students was involved energy theme activity-passively cooled homes. Students were divided into teams working as an efficiency contractors to design a model house that emphasizes passive cooling activity techniques. Each group has an assortment of materials with priced costs such as white roof coating(1,000$), brick roofing($1,500), roof insulation($1,500), wall insulation($2,000), sunshade($1,500), and shade trees($500). These teams must stay within 4,000$ total budget the client has given you. A baseline house with No enhancements was reserved to simulate the classical inefficient homes.
A testing platform table was prepared with connected digital thermometers. Upon finishing the thermal enhancement, teams will place their proposed module houses in the allocated testing platform together with the baseline unenhanced module. A three minute heat emission (infrared Lamp) sun simulator is performed here indoor temperature is recorded before & after the experiment. By the end the volunteers will discuss the results and elaborate on each of the methods used to improve the thermal performance. The teams with Lower temperate rise is the winner.

The event ended by a briefing session were all participating students received a certificate for participation for the great involvement and commitment.
