We Want to Welcome Our Fine Feathered Friends

Help me give my students a solar powered bird bath, bird feeder, and bird seed to observe, study, and help wild birds as we become better environmental citizens and make the world better for people and animals.

Observing, learning about and helping provide for wild birds will teach my children that we have a responsibility to care for the world around us as they grow to become better global citizens.

Watching the birds use the feeder and bird bath will enable students to help the animals while at the same time learning more about them. They will also be reading books and doing projects about birds in our integrated curriculum.

The students will also learn to practice patience in order to become more effective observers of the natural world. They will learn to maintain the calmness and quiet necessary for studying wildlife.

Additionally, they will gain immeasurable benefit from enjoying the peace they can experience when bird-watching, that is so badly missing in their world of video games and online entertainment.

Thank you so much for the solar powered bird bath for our outdoor learning environment. We have placed it in our garden right next to the trees you had already so graciously provided and I'm thrilled to report that our feathered friends love visiting for a drink or bath!
